9.  Always sign your card after drawing lines through any spaces on a payment slip where digits can be written in after you have gone. Some restaurants and establishments are notorious for this, they usually wait for you to add a tip and then the final balance.

 

10.  Make sure you also take the separate receipt from the shop or place of purchase. For example if you buy an appliance using your credit card, you'll normally receive two receipts, one for the card payment and one for the actual goods. 

 

Try to treat your credit card like hard cash, if you leave it lying around, people are likely to take it and use it for themselves. Taking some simple measures and precaution can save you a world of hassle. Be responsible and take care of your credit cards.
